The Glacier Half Marathon, in East Glacier, Montana, is a half marathon scheduled for June 29th, 2024. The race starts just east of Kiowa, MT, on Highway 89, on a paved course that skirts the eastern border of Glacier National Park.
The first 5 miles present a challenging climb up Looking Glass Hill. The next few miles is a descent to Two Medicine Lake. The course’s terrain varies, and the uphill portion has an elevation gain of 1,235 feet with a maximum elevation of 5,980 feet. There are aid stations every three miles. Shuttles are available to transport runners from Charging Home Stampede Park in Browning, MT, to the start line and back from the finish line at Glacier Park Lodge. Runners must keep to the left when running with traffic.
