I hadn’t thought of this until one of our Facebook fans posed this question on our page recently, but fan BJ Thomas wrote that there there were few Sunday races left.

“It’s really hard to plan for Saturdays,” he added. “Sunday races were ideal.”

Leaving aside whether this is a clear trend or not, there’s an interesting question here from the perspective of how you plan travel for races — does it work better for you if a race is run on a Saturday or a Sunday?

Do Saturday races allow you to kick back for the rest of the weekend and enjoy, or is it better to run on Sunday after a weekend of rest, and then head back home the same day?
