In its 13th year, the InFirst Bank Veteran’s Marathon remains committed to providing a safe event, adhering to local and state regulations. Participants can expect top-notch race support, with all proceeds directed toward the veterans of Western Pennsylvania through the Veteran’s Relief Fund.
Acknowledging the service of active duty and veterans, a special registration rate of $26.20, available until October 26, 2024, comes with a complimentary race t-shirt. The opening ceremony at 8:30 AM precedes the Marathon and Marathon Relay, starting at 9 AM, while the Half Marathon kicks off at 9:30 AM.
The race unfolds along the Ghost Town Trail, offering an out-and-back course from Saylor Park to Dilltown, with a gradual 2% grade on the way out, promising a thrilling “downhill finish.” Expect varied weather conditions, from 50 degrees to cold rain or snow, adding an element of challenge.
For 2024 (pending confirmation), the Marathon is set to be the state championship race for the RRCA (Road Runners Club of America), featuring special awards for outstanding achievements. Every finisher receives a remarkable finisher’s medal, commemorating their contribution to this meaningful event.
